Liu Liu has a Ph.D. in Computer Science and an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of California, Santa Barbara, in 2022 and 2015, respectively. His research interests reside in the intersection between computer architecture and machine learning, towards high-performance, energy-efficient, and robust machine intelligence. Before his graduate study, he received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) in 2013. He leads the research on elastic processing and hardware architectures, with publications in top-tier conferences on machine learning (ICML/ICLR) and computer architecture (MICRO/ASPLOS). He worked at the Scalable Energy-Efficient Architecture Lab (SEAL), under the supervision of Dr. Yuan Xie and Dr. Yufei Ding. He is a recipient of Peter J Frenkel Fellowship from the Institute of Energy Efficiency at UCSB.
